creating extension using html5 and javascript for AE but initially the extension need to metadata file of the project and also can i edit the metadata file?

want to create an extension for AE which is using HTML5 and javascript(Already have this extension for Photoshop, Premier PRO,).Need to keep tracks of the projects and also want to edit the metadata associated with the project.
